Thoughts on Fat Albert's attitude

I know a lot of 'Skins fans are pissed at Haynesworth, but I see where he's coming from. The Redskins defense will not be as successful as years past. Trust me. The only thing that worked in the 2000s decade for the Redskins was their top 10 defense.

Everything was fine with a 4-3, it's worked for the past decade, so then why switch to a 3-4? I know Shanahan knows what he's doing on the offensive side of the ball, but I think he's clueless on defense. In his tenure with Denver, they had an explosive offense but it had to carry their lackluster defense.

I say there's no need to go to 3-4, but Shanahan will let Jim Haslett deal with it. Why are the 'Skins starting from scratch to an area where they've found the most success?

Backstrom's $67 mil extension for 10 yrs

I finally foresee a championship in DC's near future. Something the Capitals have been able to do that no other Washington sports franchise is build a stable long term plan.

The Wizards have no idea where they're going and the Redskins can't make McNabb stay for more than 2-3 years. The Caps are building a powerhouse that in my opinion no team in the NHL will be able to stop.

To get back on topic, I think the Backstrom-Ovechkin duo will terrorize goalies for years to come. Despite this year cut short, Washington's proven that it can win games and rally after no hope is left. Backstrom's hat trick in Game 2 showed Coach B that he's just as important to the team as Ovie and Semin.

I know since '07 people have been sayin' "this will be the Caps' year" year after year. But, it's getting closer and Backstrom's extension shows that this squad just won't dissipate, it'll stay intact until they finally win the big one.

Hi guys,

I'm a big DC sports fanatic and I've always wanted to share my ideas about what's going on with others. So in this blog, I'm just gonna talk about recent news in anything going on with the Wizards, Caps, 'Skins, Nats and maybe DC United. I don't know how long I'm gonna be able to make this blog last, hopefully awhile.

I'm very new to Blogspot, so I don't know how often I'll "blog", but I'll try at least once every two or so days. Alright, I hope you enjoy my blog. :)
